On Friday night in Austin, Tex., some of your favorite Friday Night Lights cast members gathered at sunset to drink Shiner Bock in a parking lot and reminisce about the glory days.
I desperately want a tattoo that says “Clear eyes, Full hearts”. Just on my right wrist, reasonably small.
But what if in 5 years I hate it?
The Final Pass : S05E13
The only thing missing from this scene was Tim. His story was so good, but football was his life, and I feel like he needed to have been there to see everything come full circle, you know?
I love how Matt looks like he actually wants the ground to open up and swallow him. And Tami is torn between being horrified because Tim’s talking about her daughter and laughing because it’s ridiculous.
039/100 caps of Friday Night Lights
I just watched this episode last night. I love it. I love how when Billy sits down to eat, he cuts his sandwich in half and shares it with Tim, because they are each the only thing the other one has. And then when Iron and Wine’s “Dead Man’s Will” started playing, I started crying.
This is why people have generally unreasonable expectations of high school.
While in Austin this past weekend John, Joe Mande and I found almost all the locations from Friday Night Lights. John did his Buddy Garrity impression for most of the tour, which may account for why Joe only joined us on the first day of sight seeing. Yes, we did spend two days doing this.
I know I’ve put this up before…but it’s too beautiful not to watch again.
(And they did an amazingly good job of not really spoiling any of the storylines, ever. )
Brilliant review of a brilliant show.
Tami Taylor. Best mom in the world. Ever.
And Coach. Taking Tim in.
Too much heart in this show.
Coach Taylor for the motherfucking win!!!!!!
Tim: It’s never gonna be bigger than that. Play it like that. Lace up like it’s the last game you’ll ever play. And then move on. That’s the best advice I can give you.
I have dreams too. I’m going to build a house exactly where we’re sitting and I’ll get a job. And I’m never going to do anything illegal for the rest of my life. Guarantee it. Maybe one day our dreams can merge together.
